1. What Data We Collect

When you use Aethera, we collect the following information that you voluntarily provide:

• Email address (for account creation and authentication)
• Birth data (date, time, and location — used to generate your readings)
• Name and display name
• Reading history and preferences
• Social media handles (optional, for sharing features)
• Palm and selfie photos (optional, for palm reading and aura features)

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to provide personalized cosmic readings, improve the Aethera experience, and measure how people find and use the site. We do not sell your data. We do not show ads on the site itself. We do use Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Firebase Analytics to understand traffic and to measure the effectiveness of any advertising we run on Facebook or Instagram (see Section 5).

3. AI Processing

Your birth data and reading inputs are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate personalized readings. This data is used solely for the purpose of generating your reading and is not stored by Google beyond the API call. No training is performed on your data.

4. Data Storage

Your account data and reading history are stored securely using Firebase Authentication and Google Cloud Firestore. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Photos uploaded for palm reading or aura features are processed in-session and are not permanently stored on our servers.

5. Cookies & Tracking

Aethera uses browser local storage to cache your profile for a faster experience. We also use a small number of analytics and advertising tools to understand how visitors find and use the site:

• Firebase Analytics — anonymous, aggregate usage data (which features are opened, how long sessions last). No advertising profile is built from this.
• Meta (Facebook) Pixel — used to measure traffic from our Facebook page and any Facebook/Instagram ads we run, and to build retargeting audiences. This may set cookies in your browser.

You can opt out of Meta Pixel tracking by enabling tracking-prevention features in your browser (Safari does this by default; in Chrome/Firefox use a privacy extension or the browser's built-in tracking protection). EU/UK/CA visitors can also exercise their data rights via the contact in Section 8.

6. Third-Party Services

Aethera uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase Authentication — for secure sign-in (Google, email/password)
• Cloud Firestore — for storing your profile and reading data
• Google Gemini API — for AI-powered reading generation
• Firebase Analytics — for anonymous usage measurement
• Meta Pixel — for ad measurement and retargeting on Facebook/Instagram

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• View all data we have about you
• Update or correct your information via the Settings page
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
